SAFEPACK VCI Powder SP-MPW is a purecorrosion inhibitor designed to protect ferrous & non-ferrousmetals (multi-metals), electrical & electronic components andassemblies from corrosion / oxidation when packed in enclosedcontainers, boxes, plastic bags, cartons and cabinets. It provides amono-ionic  protective layer on metal surfaces guarding againstoxidation and corrosion. It provides an extremely dry method ofprotection.

CORE ELEMENTS :

SAFEPACK VCI Powder is available in specially designed porousbreathable and heat-sealable paper pouches. These pouches containpowder with Hi-tech Volatile Corrosion inhibiting chemicals, which havea property of evaporating into the surrounding enclosure. The releasedvapour deposits on the metal surface and forms a protective mono-ionic layer which providesmulti-metal protection and protects from corrosion. It thus enableseffective and long term protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metalsagainst corrosion under adverse conditions including contaminants inair such as hydrogen sulphide, sulphur dioxide, ammonia or acid rain.Effective protection is achieved by placing powder pouches in thevicinity of painted/unpainted metal parts and by using it along withVCI Paper in packaging of large machines and in large volume packaging,VCI Powder can also be applied by blowing or sprinkling it on metalsurfaces and inside hollow pipes/tubes. It gives protection also tohard to reach areas like drilled holes, crevices etc.

METHOD OF USAGE :

• Insert the VCI Powder pouch inside the package either manually or with an automatic dispenser.
• It can also be used by hanging it near the part/surface to be protected.
• For Protection of inner surface, powder can be blown inside the I.D. of the metal pipes/tube.
• Ideally install before the process of corrosion / oxidation starts.
• Seal package well, though not necessarily air tight for optimum benefit.
