SAFEPACK VCI Paper SP-STEELWRAP-WF is a 70 gsmspecially matured Kraft paper, one side activated with 10-12 gsm of VCIchemicals (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors ), laminated & reinforcedwith waterproof woven fabric. It is suitable for packing of heavymetals, small components, big machines from corrosion & tarnishing.

SP-STEELWRAP-WF is available upto 3000mm in width seamlessi.e. without joint. It provides two-pronged protection:

   1.   Physical protection with cost effective, optimal, mechanical structure.
   2.   Superior VCI chemical protection developed with focused research.
CORE ELEMENTS

SAFEPACK VCI PaperSP-STEELWRAP-WF provides an extremely dry method of protection. Itprotects bare metals both through direct contact and vapor action. Thehigh-tech VCI chemicals have a property of evaporating into thesurrounding enclosure. The released vapor deposits on the metal surfaceand forms a protective mono-ionic layer, which provides protection tothe packed parts from corrosion. It thus enables effective andlong-term protection of ferrous metals against corrosion under adverseconditions including contaminants in air such as hydrogen sulphide,sulphur dioxide, ammonia or acid rain. VCI vapors easily migrate tohard to reach areas like drilled holes, crevices etc. and giveeffective protection.

CORROSION is a destructive chemical process; most often it is theconversion of a metal to its oxide, for example, the corrosion of ironby oxygen and water to produce iron oxides (i.e., rust).

Safepack VCI paper SP-STEELWRAP-WF carries a high load of speciallyengineered rust preventing chemicals (VCI's). These chemicalsdissociate into Anions and Cations with moisture as an electrolyte.These Anions and Cations associate with anodic and cathodic reactiveareas respectively on the metal surface forming mono-ionic protectivelayer, making it inert for any further reaction such asoxidation/rusting. Any loss of ions is replenished through furthercondensation of vapour ensuring continuous protection. It protectsmetals strongly through direct contact as well as vapor action.

SAFEPACK VCI ANTICORROSION PAPER SP-STEELWRAP-WF is predominantly used for protection of :

• Over-wrapping of Cold rolled (CR) coils/sheets/wires.
  
• Over-wrapping of Galvanized Steel coils/sheets.
  
• 2D & 3D Bags made of STEELWRAP are widely used to pack Automobile components.
  
• 3D bags are used to pack bigger machines for protecting it fromcorrosion while shipping through saline conditions.
  
  

METHOD OF USAGE

Simply wrap the clean, dry metal parts in the paper. Also refer our note guidelines for packaging department.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE CONDITION

1. Store in a cool and dry place.
   
2. Wrapping of rolls in original packing during storage is recommended.
   
3. Stable at normal storage conditions.
   
4. VCI paper should be kept away from contaminants prior to usage.
   
5. Shelf life is minimum 2 years under normal conditions of storage.
